Build and Feel

The body of the earbuds is made from solid matte plastic with some vents behind for air ventilation, the earbuds comes with a rather cheap feel of cable, it felt somewhat flimsy and easily snapped. The cable Y splitter on the other hand have a metal like feel that gives a slightly premium looks to it.
The cable is terminated to a rather unique 45 degree angled connector, idea behind the 45 angled connector is quite appreciable as it fits in the front pocket of the pants very well even when I am sitting.

Sound Characteristics

One of the main reasons to buying an earbuds is portability, which means using it on a portable device should not be an issue. Using it on the iPhone 6S and iPad mini 2 does not cause any inconvenience other than the lack of microphone. In a quiet air conditioned room putting the volume at 40% is quite sufficient. However when it comes to public transport, I would need to push it up to 50+% as it does not blocks the outside noise very well.

Out of the box, the most impressive attribute of this earbuds is the soundstage. It provides a good sense of depth of the instrument and vocal placing, personally I would not consider this have a very wide soundstage, but it is comparable to a full size entry level headphones soundstage.

After letting it run for more than 200 hours. Things started to get interesting, the lower frequencies seems to be the main attraction for X6, the lower bass guitar notes and drums from these earbuds are very well controlled and deep. The high produced from the earbuds is quite pleasing, there are some slight roll of on the higher end frequencies but it still does produces a good enough extensions on cymbals. The vocals are quite natural, neutral but it is lacks of warmth. There are some slight sibilance for female vocals however it is not entirely irritating to the ears.

The details produced from the earbuds are rather astonishing, I am able to pick up the micro details on the guitar strings being strummed and the cello strings being plucked. The separation of frequencies on the other hand does not really performs well. The earbuds does not perform very well with fast and complicated tracks where there are many instruments being played together especially on the mid and highs frequencies.

Conclusion

Overall, Yincrow X6 does provides great value to budget earbuds lovers out there. The angled connector does brings great conveniences for those who often uses it for travel. As for those who somehow prefer to use it indoors could pairs it up with an amplifier and a decent DACs for further sound refinement as it does shows quite alot of potentials.
